Resource Entertainment had the pleasure of presenting America at the Pearl River Resort in Mississippi.
The members of America met on a US Air Force base in England, where their parents were stationed. They formed the trio in 1971. Playing acoustic music, they decided to name the band after their homeland, America. Their is often compared to Crosby, Stills, & Nash.
They landed a contract with Warner Bros. records in the UK, and released their first single "Horse with No Name," followed with two consecutive top 10 hits: "I Need You" and "Ventura Highway." They won a Grammy in 1972 for Best New Artist.
They next scored a #1 hit with "Sister Golden Hair" in 1975. America hit the Top 10 once again in 1982 with the single "You Can Do Magic."
These classic rockers continue to tour and perform to enchanted fans around the world.
