About Phil Vaught & the Dimestore Cowboys
This Kentucky-born preacher's son was exposed to music very early in life. By age 11, he was playing drums at church services. Soon after, his older brothers started teaching him guitar, and there was no turning back.
With a wide range of country, roots, and southern rock influences — Hank Williams (Sr. and Jr.), Elvis, Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, The Statler Brothers, Merle Haggard, even The Bealtles and Billy Joel — Phil Vaught became inspired by a huge array of artists and sounds.
As a young man fresh out of high school, he formed a band, hit the road, and has continued making a living as a touring musician and singer-songwriter ever since. Today, Phil plays over 200 dates a year nationwide, from nightclubs to casinos to festivals to private functions. With a repertoire that includes classic and modern country hits, Southern rock, and some terrific originals, Phil Vaught & the Dimestore Cowboys are guaranteed to get your boots scootin'.
