About Jeremy Shrader
To say that Jeremy Shrader loves good music would be an extreme understatement. The love comes through in the notes he plays on trumpet, in his classic song repertoire, and in the many bands he leads, including the New Memphis Hepcats, the Mighty Souls Brass Band, Big Barton, and the Octocats. Throughout his musical career in Memphis, he has always been busy, performing in countless settings and situations, with jazz being his main love.
Jeremy started playing piano as a child, picked up the guitar along the way, and in middle school started on trumpet. He earned a degree in Jazz Composition at the Univ. of Memphis and started the New Memphis Hepcats as a sophomore.
Jeremy's other groups are branches of the Hepcats. His Hot Memphis Five (or Seven or whatever number of players is needed) gives him an opportunity to play traditional New Orleans jazz and Dixieland. He also leads combos ranging from a duo to an octet. In addition, Jeremy is frequently a sideman with area bands, including the eclectic Bluff City Backsliders.
No matter what your event, Jeremy Shrader will provide entertainment that is professional, classy, and always appropriate to the setting.
