Amplifying the new energy of a renovated Overton Square, Resource created Thursdays Squared and presented a 20-week summer concert series in 2014 that was both a critical and financial success.
From April through August Resource filled the square with the best in regional music from Memphis acts like Dead Soldiers and Ghost Town Blues Band to Free Sol and Cowboy Mouth.
Thursdays Squared was the first activation of the Square's performance stage and event plaza, the design of which Resource has consulted on with the builders in 2012. Thursdays Squared demonstrated how alive that space could be and set a template for events in that space that is still used today.
Indie folk/pop band Star & Micey led the crowd in joyful sing-along.
The ageless and always funky Tyrone "Super T" Smith
Ghost Town Blues Band brought hip, original blues to Thursdays Squared.
WALRUS played 80's rarities and favorites all night.
